Cowley County Jail
In 2007 a vote to pass a sales tax initiative in Cowley County was approved, allowing construction of a new jail to begin. The completed facility was finished in 2009. The former jail which had a recommended capacity of 38 was replaced with a modern 220 bed facility. The core facilities were built to service 400 inmates if there was a need to expand the facility in the future.
